Birdwatching on Chiloe Island

Chiloé Archipelago features a wide variety of landscapes and ecosystems: fjords, beaches, coastal cliffs, islets, virgin forests, grasslands and an endless number of wetlands . In this scenario we can find a great biodiversity, variety of bird species that reside, some nesting, breeding and other coming per season as the Chilean flamingo that comes on winter to many Wetlands of Chiloé.

 

We have professional equipment for observation (scopes and binoculars), as well as specialized guides.

In the coast: Black-necked Swan (Cygnus melancoryphus), Imperial Cormorant (Phalacrocorax atriceps), Red-legged Cormorant (Phalacrocorax gaimardi), Ringed Kingfisher (Megaceryle torquata stellata), Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus), Hudsonian Godwit (Limosa haemastica), Magellanic Penguin (Spheniscus magellanicus), Humboldt Penguin (Spheniscus humboldti),
